Short Blurb: Join us in Dartington, Devon, for a two-day immersive training experience in the great outdoors.
Dates: 2nd – 3rd July 2026
This two-day practical immersion invites you to step outside and experience the EcoSensory Model in action. Whether you join us in person or join through our online facilitation (guiding you as you go into your own local forest or outdoor space), you will be supported to embody the principles of nature-based therapeutic work.
Please note: This is a non-residential training.
What You’ll Experience
- Guided EcoSensory activities aligned with every element of the model
- Time outdoors to feel the framework rather than simply learn it
- Foundations of ethical, safe, and respectful nature-based practice
- How to choose, assess, and work confidently within natural spaces
- Safely holding therapeutic space outdoors and online
- Core principles of outdoor risk assessment
Leave grounded, inspired, and equipped with real-world tools to begin weaving EcoSensory practice into your sessions, groups, or personal work.
No experience required, only curiosity and a willingness to step outside.
Course Structure:
Day One and Two:
- Experience the EcoSensory Model of Practice in person, immersing yourself in its core elements: Ground, Connect, Rhythm, Discover, Attend, Create, Nourish & Reflect.
- Our EcoSensory Therapy Trainers will guide you through the process, providing a Practitioner’s Guide and Workbook that includes essential tools like Clinical Formulation Templates, Assessment Tools, Session Planning Worksheets, Session Review Worksheets, Risk Assessment Proformas, and more.
We’ll conclude the weekend by ensuring you have clear directions and actionable steps to advance your EcoSensory practice.
Timings:
- Morning: Meet at the car park each day from 09:00-09:15.
- Departure: We’ll head into the woods together at 09:30.
- End of Day: Finish by 16:30
